A Marathon was held today in Sana'a University

A Marathon was held today in Sana'a University with the participation of other voluntary initiatives and Assist Initiative Team won it. Assist held a Relay Race competition with Think to Work and Future Teams and Assist was the winner in San'a University with the attendance of official people from the PYCE, the Sport Leader in Sana'a University and Judges from the Ministry of youth.

فاز فريق مبادرة (أسِست) على فريق مبادرة (حماة البيئة)  بهدف مقابل لا شيء ضمن دوري كرة القدم للمبادرات الطوعية و المنظمات التطوعية التي ترعاه الامم المتحدة للتطوع. و قد سجل الهدف اللاعب/ عبدالسلام التويتي قبل نهاية الشوط الثاني

(أسِـسـتAssist ) هي مبادرةغير حكومية .. شبابية .. طوعية أنشئت في 30 أغسطس 2010م. يمارس أنشطتها نخبة من الشباب المتعلم الواعي والحريص على مساعدة طلبة الجامعة (ذكوراً و إناث) بغية النهوض بهذا الوطن العزيز وكما قال الشاعر:

لـن يرتـقـي شـعـب إلىأوج الـعــلا ما لــم يـكــنبـانـوه من أبـنــائــه

فكرة إنشاء مبادرة (أسِـسـت Assist ) لم تأتي منفراغ، بل كانت نتاج لعقليات مثقفة و مدركة لتحديات القرن الحادي و العشرون الذينحن نعيشه. و من هذه التحديات التي تواجه الشباب من حين إلى آخر البطالة، و العنفو التطرف و الحاجة إلى أنشطة و برامج تحتضنها و تأخذ بأيديها إلى المسار الصحيحالذي ينهض بالوطن و يجعله يسير مع عجلة التنمية و التطوير.

المشكلة الرئيسية التي أٌنشئت هذهالمبادرة من أجل معالجتها و الحد من تفاقمها هي أن كثير من طلبة الجامعة يتخرجون ويجدون ما تعلمونه لا يلبي احتياجات سوق العمل بما يكفل توظيفهم و تنمية مهاراتهم وإمكانياتهم. فالكثير منهم يفكر في الوظيفة الحكومية إن لم يكن البعض منهم. والحصول على الوظيفة الحكومية في اليمن من الأمور التي تأتي بشق الأنفس و هذانتيجةً ًلأسباب كثيرة و مترابطة مع بعضها كالفساد بشتى أنواعه و المحاباة فيالتوظيف و عدم وجود طاقة استيعابية لخريجي الجامعة و توظيفهم، و هذا من شأنه يولدالإحباط لدى بعض الطلبة و البعض قد يصبح ضحية سهلة في أيدي التطرف و الانحراف. ولذا جاءت فكرة أسِـسـت لكي تساعد طلبة الجامعة و توجيههم و تشجيعهم على إيجاد طرقبديلة لتحسين حالاتهم و صقل مهاراتهم سواءً في الجانب العلمي التخصصي أو في الجوانبالحياتية و تثقيفهم و توعيتهم نحو قضايا معاصرة و تحديات خطيرة تظهر بين الحين والآخر.

جاءت هذه الفكرة عندما أجتمعمجموعة من الشباب الذين شاركوا في بعض من برامج التبادل الثقافي للسفارة الأمريكيةو شباب آخرون لديهم فكر منفتح و حس وطني بالمسئولية الملقاة على عاتقهم نحو تنميةهذا البلد الذي شهد و يشهد سلسلة من التحديات المهددة لأجيال قادمة. فقد تبنوا هؤلاء الشباب المؤسسين لهذه المبادرةهذه الفكرة و سعوا إلى بذل الجهد و الوقت و المال لكي يساعدوا طلبة الجامعة فيتخطي الصعوبات و توعيتهم بما ينفعهم نحو تحقيق نجاح دائم.

خريجين ذات كفاءات وقدرات تؤهلهمللإنخراط في سوق العمل.

الرسالة:

"أسِـسـت" تعتبر مبادرةشبابيه طوعية غير ربحيةتسعى إلى مساعدة طلبة الجامعة في مجال تخصصاتهم ومن خلالتقديم خدمات تدريبية في المهارات الحياتية بما تلبي احتياجات سوق العمل و توعيتهمو تثقيفهم نحو قضايا معاصرة.

الأهداف:

1- تعزيزالتعليم لدى طلبة الجامعة في مجال تخصصاتهم.

2- تأهيلهم وتنمية مهاراتهم الحياتية بما يضمن انخراطهم في سوق العمل.

3- تثقيفهم وتوعيتهم نحو قضايا بارزة و متصلة بمستقبلهم.

Assist Association Profile

Introduction:

Assist is a non-governmental voluntary and not officially registered or licensed initiative providing training services to university students. Assist Initiative was established on August 30, 2010. The activities of Assist are run by a cadre of highly-educated youth who are dedicated to assisting their peers in an attempt to advance our lovely country, Yemen.

The idea of establishing Assist Initiative did not come out of nothing. It was rather a result to creative ideas by a group of intellects who are aware of the challenges facing the 21^st century in which we are living. Some of these vital challenges are the chronic deterioration of social and educational situations coupled with fears of the consequences of the annually increasing unemployment, violence and extremism. Assist Initiative for Voluntary Training is the outcome of efforts by a group of open-minded and optimistic youth who have been exposed to a multi-cultural environment.

The major problem because of which Assist Initiative came to existence and is striving to lessen is the problem of university graduates who graduate from universities lacking the skills and experience which meet the demands of the job market. Most of university students aim to fill a position in the public sector ignoring the fact that holding a position in the public sector has become a very difficult task due to a handful of reasons such as corruption, nepotism, unavailability of enough jobs, and many other discriminatory hiring policies. All of this results in devastating frustration among university students who then turn to become vulnerable victims of extremism and deviation.

Therefore, the idea of Assist Initiative emerged to help these students find workable alternatives to improve their skills and abilities both in their fields of study and in other aspects related to existing social issues and challenges. This idea came up when a group of youth, who have had the chance to participate in educational exchange programs sponsored by the U.S Department of State, got together with a few others who have strong sense of purpose and responsibility towards the development of their communities which have witnessed and are still witnessing a series of challenges threatening newer generations. These youth (founders) have decided to accept and adopt this responsibility and have therefore sacrificed their efforts, time and money to help university students overcome difficulties facing them after graduation and raise their awareness to guarantee their achievement of a life-long success.

Assist is a non-profit voluntary association which aims at helping university students in their fields of study and providing them with training services to develop their life skills and abilities to meet market demands.

University graduates armed with skills and competencies enabling them to compete in the labor market.

Our Goals:

1-      Improving education of university students in their fields of study.

2-      Preparing them and developing their life skills to ensure their involvement in the job market.
